In 1964, on the occasion of the traveling exhibition in the USA sponsored by the French Embassy, Fernand Mourlot was commissioned as a witness of French art and craftsmanship. On that occasion, he published a catalog ( nr. 1.100 in English   « Prints from the Mourlot Press «  more, nr.1100  in French  « L’Atelier Mourlot »)  inserting a selection of original lithographs by the greatest masters of the time.

For over half a century Fernand Mourlot has been synonymous with lithography, a printing process that would have attracted the greatest artists of the twentieth century. From refined books to posters, under the direction of Fernand Mourlot, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Miró, Braque, Dubuffet, Léger and Giacometti to name just a few, they have enriched their work and contemporary art in general with a new means of expression , the lithograph. The lithographs of art offered a new space of experimental possibilities for the printing of their masterpieces.
